I started to become a Magician when a television company launches their Reality TV Magic Show called NAKS! (Nakakabilib At Kakaibang Show) on October 17, 2004 hosted by some of todays knowned Magician in the Philippines, Bearwin Meily and Erik Mana. I started to notice how clever magicians are. I was shocked...amazed... and became a fan of the show.
One day, while I was on my way home with my bestfriend (Ernie Mallen), there is a guy (probably he was at age 13 or something) came to us. He asked us to have a couple of minutes with him that he wants to show us something. We are puzzled by him not knowing what he will going to do. We did a break. He showed us a deck of cards. From that time, I know that he will do some magic for us. Im a fan of the program so Im too eager to know what he will going to perform to us, or what kind of trick he will show us. He showed us the Famous Ambitious Card Routine." Wow! that was great" I said, "how did you do that?" my best said. He started to laugh on us, make jokes on us. And we ask him if he can tell us how he did it. He just said, "Sorry I Cant."....thats quite disappointing in our side. Anyways, after that performance, we (me and my best) went home.
Next day, "I want to learn Magic!", we decided to surf to learn how magic is done. We went to some malls that sells Magic Items and props. Then eventually, we encounter a booth that sells magic tricks. Without hesitation, we bought some items...we carefully practice every movements, proper handling, angles and patters. Then were on!
The next day we are walking, we saw this guy who showed us a trick. We showed him what weve learned. The reaction in his face is unexplainable. He was totally stunned! amazed!... he ask us to teach him, but we just said "Sorry We Can't!"
